The most important part of swimming pool maintenance is water balance. As since your pool water changes constantly due to various chemicals, oils and swimmers, it is quintessential to check and balance pH levels in the pool.
The pH level is the measure of how acidic or basic the water is. It is marked on scale of 0-14, while 7 is marked as neutral. Low pH pool water can result in corrosion of ladders, handrails; produce burning sensation in eyes and dry skin problems, while high pH levels can result in heavy chlorine odour and red eyes. Ideally it should be around 7.4 to 7.6.
So, it’s crucial to keep the pH levels within proper range to keep your good health and pool finish intact.
